What’s behind this “war on terror”, really?

I don’t know, but maybe, just maybe, someone out there can explain me something... How can we win a “war” against terrorism by bombing the shit out of countries already ravaged by decades of war? How come someone hasn’t thought beforehand that killing and torturing people isn’t the best way to say “we come in peace”? This “war” on terrorism has only aggravated the problem, which is, big countries (heavily influenced by corporations) putting their noses in other people’s affairs. Don’t know about you, but personnaly, someone who break into my house, messing with my stuff and stealing valuable resources is NOT someone I like. I don’t care about his reason for breaking in, no one have the right to violate my property.

Yet, some people think that they have the right to invade other people’s territory, just because they feel like it’s evil dictator (that they put in place themselves!) was a “menace” to them. Maybe he was more of a menace to corporate profits! What do you think?

Anyway, I’m seriously starting to think about who benefits from this “war on terror”, really... As any governnment NEVER takes any action if there isn’t any immediate economic benefit to be gained in the end. I guess that’s what we get by electing businessmen as leaders. Every decision or idea, however good it actually is, will never be raised and acknowledged if it hurts the economy in the end. NEVER. Also, history is riddled with government attempts at killing their own citizens for various evil purposes. I can point to Operation Northwoods as an example. So anyone can spare me the ignorant : “Our government will never kill it’s own citizens”. Welcome to reality, bye bye dreamland. Our government is owned by businessmen. All they care about is business. Money. Everything else is irrelevant. Particularly our lives.

So let me ask it again, who REALLY bennefits from this “war on terror”? In a world where every governmental action is taken in an economic perspective, we could say it in other words : Who gets money out of this “war on terror”? Never have we seen any government so pressed to act, spend and invest money into any project that big, especially whitout any apparent economic interest. So what is it about this “war on terror” that make, big, heavy, corporate-riddled countries, willing to sign a blank check so fast?

I think that simply asking the question will give the answer.

Repeat after me : Is there any money to be made in the “war on terror”?

Wow. It seems some part of the question is trying to get our attention!
